Rubik’s 360 is the New Cube!

As a kid the sight of a Rubik’s Cube always frustrated me! I simply never had the patience to solve it and no one cared to show me the “secret method”. Being a bit older, I may be up to the challenge, but as life would have it there’s a new toy on the block – the Rubik’s 360!

This sphere actually contains two other plastic spheres with small holes in them. There are six small colored balls inside of these, which you are to navigate successfully to their similarly-colored outer dome compartments. Once there, you have to keep them from falling out while trapping the other balls in place. Of course the most frustrating part is that you can’t just remove the stickers and place them back in the correct order.

You should be able to pick one up over here for about $15 (Roughly R120).

The Future of Gaming – Project Natal

Introducing Project Natal, a revolutionary new way to play: no controller required. See a ball? Kick it, hit it, trap it or catch it. If you know how to move your hands, shake your hips or speak you and your friends can jump into the fun — the only experience needed is life experience:

Where do I order one?!?!

Guitar Hero Gets Real

The standard issue Guitar Hero guitar has several problems – It doesn’t have a wood body, a wood neck, metal frets or a rosewood fingerboard.

Logitech have fixed the problem by announcing the release of their new guitar that we can expect to see in August at a price of $200 (about R2300):

Monopoly Adverts

Monopoly is the world’s most famous board game. Since Charles Darrow patented the game in 1935, approximately 750 million people have played the game, making it one of the most played board games on earth!

Naturally with the new version being launched comes an ad campaign (a great one if you ask me!). Check it out:

Don’t you think it’s smart how the overall ads match the colours of the little houses and hotels in the actual game?

Sony 32″ LCD Does Good Mario

My Sony 32" LCD playing Original Mario Bros

Lauren and I decided to spend a small amount of money on getting the original Mario Bros game and console. Is it as good as we remember? Well, considering I have an Xbox 360 too, I must say it’s BETTER than I remember. There is just something about those cheesy songs, plingy sound effects and that terrible “Save the Princess” story line.

Clearly Mario IS and always WILL BE a timeless classic. Like Tetris perhaps.
