Heidi is the proprietor of a bar in Berlin. In order to increase sales, she decides to allow her loyal customers – most of whom are unemployed alcoholics – to drink now but pay later. She keeps track of the drinks consumed on a ledger (thereby granting the customers loans). Word gets around and as a result increasing numbers of customers flood into Heidi’s bar….

Basically, he told investors to give him their cash and he would invest it with a guarantee of very high returns. As he was a highly respected investor for years and knew all the right people, everyone thought he was some kind of genius…

Instead of legitimately investing their cash he would take more from someone else as an investment and then give the original investor part of that money back. He kept doing this with more and more people and had extremely high returns and A-list clients…

So more and more people kept giving him more and more money. This particular type of scam is called a Ponzi scheme (click here to find out why). But there’s one problem with it: your choices are to either get caught or disappear with the money as it can never last forever.

While you will never see a trillion dollars in person, computers can do the job without breaking a sweat – or worrying about retirement…

Measurements were taken of a $10,000 stack of $100 bills (just half an inch thick!) and pretty much multiplied from there using simple geometry. In the trillion dollar shot above, each pallet holds $100 million… and the pallets are double stacked.

As for that red blob on the left? IT SHOULD BE ME!
